The east end of London reminds me of Williamsburg, New York. It is filled with interesting bars, coffee shops and ethnic food. It is where the young and artistic flock to live and to hang out. I knew I had to dive in and explore this area.
I have been to London a few times now. Three in the past year. It has become quite a love affair. Every time I go I discover another part to apprecaite. London has become my long distance lover. Coxing me back every few months.
My most recent trip to Europe was a sudden last minute decision with not a lot of time to plan. A good friend of mine is living in London and I went to visit her. We wanted to do a weekend trip somewhere and looking at a map I thought “Hey Belgium is close!” Then…
I admit it I wanted to go to Liverpool solely because I love The Beatles. This is a fact I am not ashamed of. Who doesn’t love The Beatles? When I was in London last April I was hell bent on getting to Liverpool.
Where you stay can be as important as what you do. Of course I am not always spending a lot of time in whatever hostel/hotel I stay in but there are a few things that I always look for.
When you think of Germany what do you picture? I’m sure people think of Hitler, Octoberfest, Bratwurst and beer. Or maybe that’s just me.
While in town for the World Travel Market I took some time to meet up with some friends and have a few drinks. I figured a great way to see some cool bars was by joining a pub crawl.
I have been back from my TBU conference for a little over a month now. Each time I sit down to write about Nantes I just don’t know how to start but I figured I have been putting it off for long enough
Brussels is a city for people who love food. There is a never ending variety of delicious choices. We all know by now that the way to my heart is through good food ( and good beer).
I love booking hostels. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the comforts of a hotel, the amenities, someone else cleaning up after me.
Every city has a place you fall in love with. The perfect district you know you could be a part of. In Paris, for me, it is undoubtedly Montmartre.
